Today in Minsk near the metro station “Victory Square” activists of “Moladz BNF” stretched out a poster with the words “Freedom to Autukhovich!”.
We would like to remind, that on May, 6 the Supreme Court sentenced an entrepreneur Mikalai Autukhovich to five years and two months of imprisonment to serve his sentence in a colony of strict regime. He was found guilty in transportation and storage of five cartridges to a sporting gun.
Human rights advocates consider Autukhovich and other Vaukavysk entrepreneurs, convicted of the criminal case, political prisoners, pointing to serious procedural infraction, fixed during the court procedure.
A 47-year-old Mikalai Autukhovich was repeatedly on hunger strikes of protest. One of his hunger strikes lasted from April, 16 till July, 16 of 2009. Within this time Autukhovich lost his weight by 35 kg.
